Greg Koutsomitis

Player Advisor

Greg Koutsomitis built his playing career the right way — earning his stripes at every level before reaching the college game. He developed through New England prep hockey at Millbrook School and competed in the NCDC with the Jersey Hitmen before going on to play NCAA hockey at SUNY Geneseo. His teammates recognized what he brought to the locker room as much as the ice, naming him Team Captain for the 2023–24 season — a distinction that says as much about his character as his game.

Since stepping away from playing, Greg has invested that same energy into developing the players coming up behind him. He has served as Assistant Coach with the Rochester Saints 2013 AAA program and as Associate Head Coach with ROCO Hockey's 2012 AAA team, while also running individual player and skill development sessions focused on skating, shooting, and the fundamentals that separate good players from great ones. His on-ice work reflects a coach who understands what players actually need to improve — not just what looks good in a practice plan.

At Center Ice Player Management, Greg works with players and families across the AAA, junior, and NCAA pathways — providing honest guidance on recruiting, development planning, and advancement opportunities. He's been through the process himself, recently, and he brings a perspective that is both current and credible. For players trying to figure out their next move, that combination is hard to find.
